We often feel very guilty, suggesting to our parents that they need care. We often let this guilt get in the way of doing what we know has to be done. The consequences of doing nothing are very dangerous. I have met people that refuse to get help and end up in the hospital, skilled nursing facility, or worse. It is no joking matter. I went through this when we decided that a care home was the right fit for my mom.

My mom wasn’t excited about this idea, but she wasn’t safe on her own. We had to make a decision quickly and this was the only decision that made sense to us kids. We made the right decision, and now I help people go through this tough time.

If you are exploring your options with caregiving, assisted living or memory care, give me a call. Let me know if I can help navigate this tricky terrain for you.

Thanks,

David
